The use of party manifestos for governing a nation has become a world culture and a global institutionalization. Though manifestos may not necessarily be binding, they are official documents and sometimes oral policies that must be fulfilled by a ruling party to avoid being punished by voters in the next election. This will enable electorates to vote for political parties with sound national ideologies and attainable ambitions. In this episode, we unpack what a political party manifesto actually is and highlight how to promote a responsible and a sustainable one.
